The Jerusalem Foundation is an organization – anti political recruiting donations to “help the growth of Jerusalem as a modern, tolerant, pluralistic, cultural, economic strength and with diverse communities.” (Wikipedia).
The fund was founded in 1966 by Former Mayor Teddy Kollek. Since its establishment the Foundation has raised more than five billion to Israel. Over the years, was one of the major funding sources for large-scale projects in communities. Among other things, raised funds for the establishment of the Science Museum in Jerusalem the Khan Theater, the Sam Spiegel School of Film and Television Cultural Center, Mishkenot Sha’ananim, the Jerusalem Cinematheque, the Biblical Zoo, Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and Teddy Stadium.
